Unknown perspective
VR work. 3D objects scanned using 3D Gaussian Splatting.
Participants will wear Meta Quest3 and enter the same room where they will wear the VR headset.
There are three people sitting in the digital space, each with a cloud on their head.
Another 3D space spreads out within the clouds, and participants can walk through it themselves and peer into the world inside their heads.
This work was presented at Rundgang2024 at my university, HBK saar.
Period: February 9, 2024 to February 11, 2024
Location: HBK Saar (Keplerstraße 3–5, Saarbrücken)

Concept:
Another space floats inside the room like a nebula. Each universe is vague and does not interfere with each other.
Which universe is real? Is the 3D scan of the space you’re standing in a “copy” inside the VR glasses and not the real thing? So, is the world we live in real? In the same way, the scenery we see is nothing more than a reconstruction in our brains of electromagnetic waves perceived by our eyes. What’s happening with VR glasses and what’s happening in our brains is the same.
