Dates and Venue
Dates: Thursday, July 10 – Saturday, July 12, 2025
Venue: Domshof, 28195 Bremen, Germany
Titel : Soil Memories
“Soil Memories” is a site-specific light installation composed of over 40 handmade paper structures. The paper is produced from invasive plants and urban weeds, pressed and shaped into translucent sheets. These forms are arranged in a clustered, organically expanding formation, reminiscent of a settlement, a fungal network, or memory fragments surfacing from the earth.
Each unit is internally lit with a low-energy LED, making the organic textures and embedded botanical elements visible only at night. It proposes a sensory way of reading the ground—not as a neutral surface, but as a dense archive of neglected life, labor, and transformation.
Day 1 & 2 “Soil Memories“
This was my first exhibition in Bremen. I brought everything in one suitcase and set it up at the venue.
Every night we had to install and remove the work, but thanks to many people who helped me, it was possible.
It was also my first official outdoor exhibition. I learned a lot and had a great time.
I’m really thankful for all the people I met and the support I received.

Day 3 “Soil Memories: Ascension“
On the third and final day, I changed the shape of the installation. I arranged the work along the shape of the fountain and made it rise toward the sky, like the cathedral in the background.
This new version was made spontaneously, inspired by the location over the past two days, and it matched the theme of “FOOTNOTES” very well.
I believe the work brought out hidden stories from the city space and invited people to stop and reflect🌱
Thank you to everyone who responded flexibly to this change.
